Diesel Fiat Marea: what changes with a remap
Modern diesels are held back by conservative factory calibrations. A remap updates the fuel and boost maps stored in the ECU, which is why drivers notice stronger acceleration from low revs and less need to change down on hills or when loaded.

Of the 4 diesel Marea engines in our data, this one comes 3rd for power gain, which is 2 bhp below the Marea diesel average of 35 bhp.
Across our whole catalogue the average diesel remap adds 34 bhp and 73 Nm, so this engine's 33 bhp and 65 Nm sits below that benchmark.
