How engine tuning works on a petrol Citroen C5

Petrol engines are remapped by refining fuelling, ignition timing and, on turbocharged engines, boost control. Done carefully this releases performance the manufacturer left in reserve, giving sharper throttle response and a stronger top end.

For reference, HDi is the PSA name for its high-pressure common-rail diesel engines.

Among the 11 petrol C5 engines we have figures for, the HDi 2.0 90 ranks 7th for power gain, exactly the C5 petrol average.
