Diesel Opel Meriva: what changes with a remap
The gains from remapping a diesel come from the engine management software rather than new parts: injection, boost and torque limits are re-mapped, which is why torque improves most and why the car often feels easier to drive at lower revs.
Opel Meriva 1.7 CDTi 100 against other Meriva engines
Ranked by power gain against the other diesel Meriva engines (3 in total), the 1.7 CDTi 100 is 1st, 2 bhp above the Meriva diesel average of 28 bhp.
Across our whole catalogue the average diesel remap adds 34 bhp and 73 Nm, so this engine's 30 bhp and 60 Nm sits below that benchmark.
