Diesel Honda Civic: what changes with a remap

Modern diesels are held back by conservative factory calibrations. A remap updates the fuel and boost maps stored in the ECU, which is why drivers notice stronger acceleration from low revs and less need to change down on hills or when loaded.

Of the 3 diesel Civic engines in our data, this one comes 2nd for power gain, which is 2 bhp below the Civic diesel average of 32 bhp.
